2012 New Year's Production

Frankly speaking I don't know how to call them.. I could've used the word "stuff I made last year" or "stuff I made around Christmas 2012 & the beginning of 2013" but it doesn't seem right :D

Here they are:

Most of the ideas I got from Youtube's Crochet Guru :) & some free downloadable patterns as noted above.
However due to some technical problem on executing their instructions, therefore please do not be surprise if you see some difference between the end product & the reference.

First Time Infinity Scarf (Écharpe Tube)

Done last year (early december 2012)
Working time required: several days

This was my first crochet projet.
November 2012 I lost my job, I had to do something with all the spare time I have instead of sleeping until noon, watching dramas on TV and waiting for my husband to come home from work. What a dull life!

I decided to check something out in youtube to have any idea what to do, which was easy enough so I won't give up easily.

I found this video:

I think the explanation is clear enough so I decided to buy some yarn to start the project.
I bought them in Coupon d'Alsace in Piéd d'Égouttes, Montbéliard.

I don't remember very well but I think I used 4 yarn in total. Mark of the yarn is visible on the photo (below) & I also put photos of color information & laundry instruction.

Note:
The scarf is VERY long, I wasn't sure how many chain I made in the beginning but I was measuring from the middle back of my husband's neck down to his tummy. Since he is a tall guy (1,91m) I think it would make him look funny if he wears a scarf which is too short for him. Unfortunately I didn't thought about the elasticity of the woll.
Long story short - when he wears this, he can wrap 3 times around his neck (not too loose) and still have the rest long enough fall down below the chest :)

He's okay with that (of course!) and he wears it all the time in winter (even until now)..
It's the intension that counts ;)

Happy Crocheting!
